THE DISH! With Jeremy the Intern

    Tuesday, August 5, 2008, 03:29 PM [General]

Good Afternoon procrastinators!  Shouldn't you guys be doing work or something?  Eh, I should be too... oh wait, I am.  THE DISH COMIN' ATCHA!

    Vanessa Hudgens: The Dark Side

No, Vanessa is not undergoing Sith Lord traning.  Rather, Ms. Hudgens is giving up her cute, debating high school musical antics, and is going to be decked out from head to toe in black in her next role.  She is playing an "emo rocker" who is the lead singer of a band.  She's co-starring in the film with Actress Lisa Kudrow (Friends) and Scot Porter (Friday Night Lights)

I think she can pull off the all-black just fine.

Check her out on the set at: ..."return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)">http://www.theinsider.com/news/1111700_Vanessa_Hudgens_Reveals_A_Darker_Side?ref=newsWidget

Tyra Banks:  Posing as Michelle Obama?

It seems as if the entertainment world is all over this election.  This time though, I can't really tell if this is in support of the Obama campaign or if Tyra Banks is trying to get into politics.

    Morgan Freeman:  Doing Alright

Our favorite superhero technician is doing just fine post-surgery.  Sources say that the surgery to reconnect Freeman's nerves and repair damage done to his arm and hand took about 4 ½ hours last night.  It is also on record that he is walking ok, and should be released from the hospital in a few days.

It's good to hear that he's alright, because these Batman stars keep finding themselves on the wrong side of situations.

Nikki Blonsky vs Bianca Gordon: Who's your money on?

Nothing like a good ol' cat fight, right?  Well apparently this was less of a fight, and more of a beatdown.  See what had happened was, Bianca Gordon of America's Next Top Model was trying to get a seat in the departure lounge of a New York Airport.  There was luggage on the only available seats, so as anyone would do, they moved the bags and sat down.  The luggage belong to big bruiser known as Nikki Blonsky, and after the removal, the fighting began!  Elaine Clinton-Golden, the mother of the model, reported that she had been "repeatedly punched and kicked all over."  Atrocious in my eyes!

Can you imagine that pretty face being up a mother?  (Just the face, I wouldn't wanna get in a fight with blonsky either)

Dr. Dre:  The DETOX is coming...

So Lil' Wayne's "The Carter III" was anticipated.  Nas's "Untitled" was anticipated.  But Dr. Dre's "Detox" might set records along the lines of anticipation.  The veteran hip-hop producer and rapper is on the record for saying that the album is finished.  He blames his "perfectionist" ways for the delay.  He's also got anyone who's anyone on the roster for the album, which is due sometime near the end of the year.

You can put me on the record for saying that the previously anticipated hip hop albums will not turn hip-hop back around.  Lil' Wayne's is too conceited and Nas's is very socially charged.  While both albums are great albums, count on Detox to mark the restoration of hip-hop back to it's normal ebb and flow.

Well that is all for the dish.  Until later, good people.
