    Hi.

Earlier today you heard me talking about it being kinda a rough day. See, yesterday I flew my kiddo back to her mom...

Yeah, I'm one of those parents. A 'co-parent'. But it's cool. Her mom and I get along better now than we did as a couple I think... and one of the reasons why is because we both have this amazing testiment to everything that was good about our relationship and what we did right... Her name's Kyla. You'll probably hear me talk about her a bunch here on KISS.

So, anyway, I was talking my therapy earlier, and wanted to share. This is kinda something I made to help me to remind myself that she's never really 'gone' when she's not with me... and to give myself something to watch to remind me that the 'pitter patter' of little feet that aren't behind me in the kitchen begging me for some nums or ice cream are still there... even if just in my heart for now.

    :)

Toby, I happened to hear your comments this afternoon and they brought me here to the blog. My congratulations and condolences. Congratulations on being a co-parent compared to the one weekend a month or less group. It's so important to have both parents involved and separate their problems from the needs of the kids. My condolences because it's not easy but it's much better than the alternatives if there's no way to stay together. I've been coparenting for over a year with my boy (13) and girl (8). My ex and I are both local so it's easier than your situation and we've found two week stays are working pretty well with flexibility built-in when needed. It's been hard on the kids but thye've adjusted pretty well and we try to provide a stable, consistent environment for them and they know that both their parents think the world of them. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing. Not enough fathers do and the popular culture (TV in particular) does a lousy job of showing fathers in a positive manner. It's hard to think of any since Bill Cosby :-0. You have a lovely daughter and I'm sure you're a great father. Keep up the good work. All the Best, John
