So I sat and watched most of the VMA's.  Here's my mini re-cap so you don't have to watch it on eternal re-runs on MTV for the next week...

Let me start off with saying that Russell Brand dude is STUUUPID.

here's my thoughts on the highs and lows:

-Britney looks GREAT but I was waiting for something "big" to happen
-Rihanna needs to lose the rat tail
-who cares about the dance crew we've never heard of?
I'd rather see Chris Brown dance.
-TI and Lil Wayne were great
-Pete Wentz THINKS he's funny
-Christina can't lip sync well- but I LOVE that song (and she reminds me of old britney)
-Pink rocked- and good thing she was wearing that duct tape on her boob!
-I could hear my 14 year old sister scream from 10 miles away when the Jonas Brothers went on.  hahaha
-i LOVE LOVE LOVE the DJ A.M and Travis Barker mash-up stuff... especially with LL Cool J.
old school!! they rocked it.
-PROPS to Jordin Sparks for calling out the Russell guy.  You should never joke about other people's believes and morals.  AND- I was shocked that after the show Perez Hilton dogged him too!  YAY to you both!!!
-Does Kid Rock own anything other than that track suit?
-The "back lot" thing is a cool concept, but the host sucks.
-too many stupid skits (like Britney at the start and Miley pretending to be running late) I'd rather watch more performances than that.

What ever happened to the media being "neutral" in politics? I guess MTV doesn't care about people forming their own opinions any more. screw 'rock the vote'. it's now: JUST VOTE FOR SO AND SO BECAUSE WE ARE FAMOUS AND WE SAID SO! lmao. don't say anything about WHY that candidate is great... just vote for them cause we said so.
Stupidest stuff I've heard all night!!  I watched MTV to see and hear the music.  Not to get their political viewpoints.  I don't really care.

Overall I'm kinda disappointed in MTV.  I expected more from them overall.

It took me a lil bit, but the best of the best are now posted in my pics section!  I tried to label everything the best I could.  I can't believe how much stuff we did in just 3 days!  It was an amazing trip though and I loved every minute of it!

So a good friend of mine, Brandy, got married yesterday in Vegas.  Soooo....  I'm here to help her celebrate!  I've been here since Thursday and all I can say is "WOW!"

So much to see, do...  it's an A.D.D. nightmare  haha  sensory overload!  but it's amazing how much I've gotten done in these few days.  Met 2 new friends, took super cool pics and might have had 1 or 2 adult beverages :)

I'll post some pics tomorrw (Sunday) when I get home so you can see some of the cool stuff I've gotten to do and see while I've been here!

I've been going back and forth on the topic...  do I give my 12 year old an allowance each week? After being scared to enter his closet the other day, the idea came back in my head about chores and getting things cleaned up in his room. There's two sides I'm torn between...

1. He needs a motivation point.  I've tried before to say "go clean your room and don't come out till you do" and that doesn't phase him.  He'll read a book till I come in there. and I can't get mad that he's reading!!

2. should he REALLY get paid for doing things I expect of him anyways??

so I'm stuck and need your advise.  Let me know what you think cause I need to start this weekend...
