So i pay a gazillion dollars a month to my cell company. (yes, that's a real number and yes I really do pay that much. lets move on..) I have my cell, my son's cell and my wireless internet on my phone bill. it's a pretty hefty bill each month... but I survive on my cell and the internet, so it's worth it.
ANYWHOO- my wireless card stopped working about 2 months ago. just out of the blue wouldn't work any more. Wasn't a HUGE priority to fix, cause I discovered I can pick up someone's wi-fi connection on my laptop at home. :) shuush! so.... I finally get around to calling my "shall remain nameless" cell providor to trouble-shoot. an hour and a half later, it still doesn't work. This was a month ago. The dude on the phone told me when I had the chance to take the card and my laptop to a store and have them look at it. Tonight was my first chance to get around to doing just that. OMG. they told me just to call warranty services and get a replacement. CAN I JUST GET THE THING TO WORK PEOPLE?!!?
So I call warranty services. I explain I've already trouble shooted for an hour and a half a few weeks ago. they say it's not noted on my account so there's nothing they can do. REALLY? I reminded them how much I pay them each month, how much I pay for that card that they can check on that hasn't been used in 2 months... of course, the dude was new I think. So I ask for his supervisor. we're 37 min into this stupid call that's gotten no where at this point. After explaining all of the above to this supervisor dude as well..... he tells me he'll give me the number to tech support. OH HELL NO! I again told him i already did that and was not about to try to trouble shoot again. After some back and forth arguments, I ask for his name (and even make him spell out his last name) and ask for HIS supervisor. He tells me none are available after 6pm. isn't that convenient! So I ask for another supervisor. He puts me on hold. we're at 46 minutes. (yes, I was looking at my cell on a regular basis to see how much time in my life I'll never get back) then dude comes back.
It's a miracle! hahaha homie said HE did me a favor (LMAO) and called tech support (should have done that in the first place at least 20 min ago) and low and behold, THEY had a record of my previous call. they also said that I should get a warranty replacement. What a shocker, supervisor man was suddenly super nice and said a replacement would be mailed out in the morning. HA! really?? does it have to come to the point where I ask for your name and position to where you actually do your job and research something for me? what ever happened to "the customer is always right"???
I think I'm still gonna write to the "un named" cell company and complain. they got me so frustrated for nothing!
ok, venting over. I have the internet and the world may now continue to spin. :)
