Why the heck not!
What's with the creepy guys?
I don't know what it is lately, but I'm starting to see a trend of old creepy guys hitting on me. I was on my way up the elevator after lunch, and as I was going into my office, some guy got off the elevator and stopped me at my door and told me I was beautiful and asked if he could buy me lunch sometime. Did I also mention he had to be AT LEAST in his late 30s or early 40s? Ew. That's just gross. I may not look 22, but there's no way in heck I look like I'm in his age range. After I politely declined, he got back in the elevator and went on his way to whatever floor he was originally going to.
Ick.
I got a new job!
I'm sorry, we were interviewing?
I had a job interview yesterday with the Director of the company who'd I'd be working under. He seemed very nice, he LOVED to talk, and well all was fine... I went during my lunch break because it was across the street. I figured I could go at 11:30 and be back at 1:00 to finish up my work. I can honestly say I never went through an interview like that before.
I was warned ahead of time that the man loved to talk, but love was quite an understatement. Don't get me wrong, he was super nice and he was very passionate about everything he was talking about, but I definitely wasn't expecting that. So anyway, he has asked me what time I was needing to go and I told him I'd like to be back at the latest 1:30. He actually said that would be great since he had to go out to survey a building at 1:30/1:45 that's about 20 - 30 minutes away.
So getting into the interview.. 1:00 hits.. 1:15.. 1:30.. 1:45 and at this point, it's been over 2 hours into the interview, and we has managed to talk about nothing about the position. As we're talking over lunch, he gets into the talk about reps and how they can make a ton or nothing since they work on commission, but get a beautiful girl in that business, and she could make tons by just smiling and saying please. Then he turns to me and says "Not that I'm telling you you should go into that business, because I obviously want you to work here!". Hmm Did the director/interviewer just call me beautiful and then tell me I could rely on my looks to get through life? Umm, yeah, thanks bud. So 2:00 comes.. 2:15 and I'm thinking, you're late, I'm super late.. we need to go!
So finally he decides that it's probably a good time to wrap up the interview (Whoa, interview? I forgot that's what we were doing..), and we leave the table with him saying, "It's not often I get to sit down and eat with a beautiful girl, I had to embrace it while I could!" ok.. Oogy #2! So hurrying back to the office to get my stuff and say my "thank you's", he decides to throw it in there one last time.. and tells me he's super late but he'll just call the contractor and tell him he "was interviewing a beautiful girl for a job and he'll understand!" Hm.. is this really happening?
So finally, I get my stuff and he ends by telling me he think I'd be a good fit for the job and to call him back to set up a second meeting to tour the office and so on if it's something I'm interested in.
I'll be sure to get right on that!
